Mitch Weverka

Mitch Weverka has been involved with the Fort Worth Guitar Guild since it's inception in 1998 and has directed the Guitar Guild Music Festival since it began in 2006. He is an award winning guitarist who performes throughout the United States as and abroad. Both a soloist and a chamber musician, he performs repertoire from every historical period as well as contemporary works. He is a member of the Texas Guitar Quartet and maintains a private studio in South Fort Worth at Orchestra Hall. He is also the guitar instructor at the Fort Worth Academy of Fine Atrs. Isaac Bustos

Isaac Bustos has won top prizes in over ten international competitions. He has a dazzling technique which he applies to a varied repertoire. He has performed throughout North America as both a recitalist and a soloist with orchestras. Currently, he heads the guitar studies at Texas A&M University. He is also a memeber of the Texas Guitar Quartet. This is his fourth appearance for the Fort Worth Guitar Guild and his second time as faculty of the Guitar Guild Music Festival. Soloduo

Soloduo is arguably the premier guitar duo of their generation. They tour thoroughout the world and have created an large and influential discography. FWGG has been fortunate to have Soloduo as a regular member of the workshop faculty. This will be their fourth year on the festival roster. For more information visit www.soloduo.it.


Jason Vieaux

Since becoming the youngest winner in the history of the Guitar Foundation of America Competition in 1992 Jason Vieaux has enjoyed a brilliant career. He is possibly the most sought after American guitarist of his generation. He has made numerous recordings and tours throughout the world. He heads the guitar department at the Cleveland Institute of Music. This is his first engagement with FWGG and we are very excited to present him to our audience and workshop participants. Kithara Duo

The Kithara Duo is one of the premier guitar ensembles in the state of Texas. Currently, they are very active in the North Dallas area teaching at Collin County Community College and Northlake College. Mark Appling

Mark Appling is from Fort Worth. Growing up, he studied at the Guitar Studio and then later at Texas Weselyan University University with Michael Dailey. Since then he completed his Masters in Music at the New England Conservatory under Eliott Fisk. He is now pursuing a doctorate at the Eastman Conservatory of Music. He is quite accomplished for his years. FWGG is proud to present this exceptionally talented young performer with local roots.
